TIME Family of Wines is committed to creating wines that express the unique flavours of Okanagan wine country.
Built within a revitalized historic theatre in downtown Penticton, the heart of South Okanagan wine country, the TIME Family of Wines has grown as a team and as a family, to reflect the quality and attention to detail that is found in our wines.
Considered the grandfather of the modern BC wine industry, Harry had celebrated his 51st BC vintage in 2018. The former CEO and president of Evolve Cellars, TIME Winery, and McWatters Collection, passed away in July 2019.
His legacy is now upheld by his grown children Christa-Lee and Darrien McWatters. Harry’s rich career had taken him through the start-up and ownership of several successful BC wineries.
He was the founding chair of many landmark organizations including the BC Wine Institute, VQA Canada, the BC Wine Information Society, Okanagan Wine Festivals Society, and the BC Hospitality Foundation.

As newcomers to the British Columbia wine industry, owners Ron and Shelley Mayert are thrilled to enter the industry and to grow from the legacy that the McWatters family has created. They bring fresh eyes to the project and are keen to build relationships with industry partners, valued winery customers, and a family of talented employees.

British Columbians through and through, Ron Mayert was born and raised on orchards in Summerland. Shelley Mayert is from a farm in the Fraser Valley, the couple now lives in Abbotsford with their family. These BC-born roots are why the Mayerts are so passionate about the sustainability of this beautiful region.
Daughter of BC Wine legend Harry McWatters, Christa-Lee as a result of being born into one of the most traditional families in British Columbia wine industry, she has amassed a breadth of experience that covers nearly all aspects of wine production.
As an active voice within the Canadian wine industry, Christa-lee has been involved in many influential organizations. She was the former chair of the BC Wine Institute and a director of the Canadian Vintner’s Association. Currently, Christa-Lee sits on the board of directors for Wine Growers Canada, Wine Growers British Columbia, and Les Dames d’Escoffier. In addition, she carries on her family legacy by embracing new business opportunities and supporting many charitable causes throughout the Okanagan and beyond.
Known for her love of bubbles and ready smile, Christa-Lee can often be found sipping a glass of something effervescent.
As production manager for TIME Winery, McWatters Collection, and Evolve Cellars, Darrien oversees packaging, warehousing, shipping, distribution, and bottling for the three labels.
Darrien’s experience in the wine industry began in 1980 with her father on the Black Sage Bench, expanding to management positions in successful wineries across Western Canada. As a side duty, she also serves as an on-call firefighter.
Lynzee joined the team in 2019 and is the winemaker for TIME Winery, McWatters Collection, and Evolve Cellars.
Schatz has a Bachelor of Wine Science from Charles Sturt University and has completed vintages at several wineries in California, Australia, and Ontario.
After gathering precious experience in other wine regions, she decided to return home to the Okanagan to pursue her winemaking career.
If you need to plan an event, join a fantastic wine club, or learn about sparkling wine, Kimberly Hundertmark is the person for you. As hospitality manager Hundertmark oversees the hospitality programs, guest services, special events, and the wine club for TIME Winery, Evolve Cellars, and McWatters Collection.
Before starting her role with TIME Family of Wines in September 2020, Hundertmark was the events manager for the British Columbia Wine Institute (BCWI). This position allowed her to become multi-faceted in the world of business and wine, following more than 25 years of leadership experience in the Canadian wine industry.
Before her role with the BCWI, she was no stranger to hospitality, tourism, or wine, holding executive and managerial positions with Niagara Grape and Wine Festival and the tourism sector of St. Catharines.
Her numerous accolades include becoming a certified WSET Level 2, Women in Business award recipient, and VQA Promoter at Large.
Becky began her role as Controller in October 2020. She oversees financial reporting, budgeting, and human resources for Time Family of Wines.
Becky is a driven accounting professional with a strong passion for the local wine industry. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an Accounting specialty. She has worked in accounting for the past decade with 5 years in the wine industry.
Alexander Keith Campbell, known as AK, is the creative force behind the culinary team at TIME.
He develops sensational menus that complement our wines for both the restaurant and private events.
Chef AK has extensive experience and has previously led kitchen teams in hotels, resorts, and wineries in the Okanagan.
He believes in the importance of simplicity in his use of ingredients and working with the seasons to make his dishes truly shine.
Kerri-Anne has lived and breathed Hospitality for over 30 years. Her journey began with the Rogers Pass Best Western Glacier Park Lodge where, under the mentorship of General Manager & Mentor John C. Jones, who she thanks for all she was taught, including the importance of cross-training. As a result, over her 10+ years at the hotel, Kerri-Anne gained experience in virtually every role: from chamber maid, to serving and bartending, to guest services, to cooking in the kitchen, and finally to Food and Beverage Manager.
It is during these years at the top of Rogers Pass that she had the opportunity to travel, taking two-month long trips each year, happily globetrotting and meeting people from all cultures and experiencing different customs. Kerri-Anne also managed to learn several languages which enabled her to communicate with guests who were visiting us in the Rockies in their native language.
From there, Kerri-Anne’s hospitality journey continued on the west coast of the province, including positions in restaurant management & catering, and as a wedding co-ordinator at local ski hills, Mount Washington and Big White Ski Resorts.
While on the coast of BC she was the office manager for Gordy Robson’s Mayoral campaign in Maple Ridge. Shortly after, as Executive Director for a community task force where she assisted the society in securing 7 million dollars in funding from the Federal Government to help those with addiction issues in communities across the province.
In 2011 Kerri-Anne moved to the Okanagan to be closer to her ageing parents, and immediately fell in love with the people, the culture of the wine industry culture, not to mention the weather. She then found employment with Local Lounge & Grill, where she first worked for Christa-Lee McWatters. Working on the waterfront was a dream, and she was so pleased to have once again found passionate and hardworking employers, here in the Okanagan.
When the opportunity presented itself to work for Christa-Lee at Evolve Cellars’ first winery location in Summerland, she jumped at the chance. Here she managed the tasting room and guest experience operations. Kerri-Anne and the team also hosted fabulous weddings and private events at this beautiful venue, overlooking Okanagan Lake. As TIME Winery & Kitchen was being built, and while still managing her role at Evolve, she was an essential contributor to staff training for the new winery.
Here at TIME, Kerri-Anne takes great joy in ensuring that our guest’s needs are met and that their experience exceeds their expectations. Be it in the wine shop with wine tastings, making wine and food recommendations, assisting Wine Club members with orders, to manning the retail & restaurant order desk for our hard-working sales team, Kerri-Anne thrives on being an essential part of the TIME Family of Wines team.
Chelsea gathers over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry behind her, having worked for various hotel chains and tourism organizations such as Delta Hotels, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and Tourism Whistler.
Chelsea is responsible for event sales, social media/marketing, as well as managing the planning and implementation of the various events within the winery.
Matt Martin started cooking at age 15 and worked his way up through the ranks through numerous restaurants throughout the Okanagan. With a growing passion, and eagerness to learn he traveled to Denmark to train at 1 Michelin Starred Relae Restaurant. He then came back to the Okanagan to become the Executive Chef of Liquidity Bistro.
Liquidity was a seasonal restaurant, so he took the opportunities of having the winters off to train and travel further were he went to 3 Michelin starred Atelier, Crenn and Benu in San Francisco. He also took the time to backpack through Thailand, Central America & Peru.
Most recently he was in Montreal working at Le Mousso restaurant before moving back to the Okanagan and joining the team at Time winery as the new Chef de Cuisine.
Matt is inspired by world cuisine and travel, his style is mainly focused around preservation and fermentation, with inspiration from Nordic, Japanese & French cuisines.
You can find him outside on the tennis court, drinking natural wine on a patio, or with his head in a good book.
Born and raised in Ottawa Ontario, Robbie started his foray into the wine industry in 2012, where he was the sole assistant to the winemaker at Marynissen Estates in Niagara on the Lake. It was there that he began to feel the pull for both hospitality and the wine industry. After working his first harvest, Robbie made the move into the Hospitality side, working in tasting rooms throughout the Niagara Peninsula. He used his original passion for teaching to make wine a welcoming, entertaining, and educational experience.
He earned his Certified Sommelier designation from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2018, while working as the Retail Supervisor at Redstone Winery in Beamsville, Ontario.
His fateful visit to the Okanagan in April 2019 began his love for the wine industry in BC, and he promised that he would move west when the time was right. He briefly left the wine industry to be a Restaurant Manager in Oakville Ontario, but the call of the wineries drew him back in.
A Retail Manager position at the expanding Mt. Boucherie Winery in Kelowna BC was too good for Robbie to pass up. So, in June 2019, he packed up his things, which was mostly wine, and traveled west to slake his thirst for knowledge and make his mark on the West Coast Wine Industry.
Robbie helped orchestrate the successful opening of the beautiful new tasting room for Mt Boucherie Winery on June 1st, 2020, and in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic, helped with the successful first season of the winery.
His love of wine education and hospitality made him miss pouring wine and making experiences, so he decided to hone and refine his craft by then becoming the Estate Sommelier at Mt Boucherie.
He then heard about the planned expansions at TIME Winery and realized that that was the perfect opportunity to be a part of something exciting. What truly sealed the deal was when Robbie met with Christa-Lee McWatters, and after hearing her passion and experience he jumped at the chance to work for the company. Now, he is the Estate Sommelier for TIME Winery and Kitchen and is always ready to “Drink wine and talk about it.”
